Registry Decisions
Registries are one of the best parts of planning a wedding - right?!  Not so much for me - registering for gifts involves more decisions than a person should ever need to make while visiting one (or four in my case)       store(s).  Don't get me wrong I still love it, but we started our registry over 5 months ago and it only has about 50 items on it so far - 10 of which are not available any more (damn you Pottery Barn and your seasonal items).  Given my first shower in less than 2 months DSG and I have dedicated this weekend to finishing up our registry.  Without a doubt I know the hardest decision while be China for me - way too many choices that are all amazing, here's a peek:

Very fitting for my new obsession with pretty polka dots -

Solids, stripes, patterns, floral, color, white, ivory, gold rimmed the list goes on.  I think I know my top choice but will likely cave last minute and add 1 or 2 other into the mix as I alwasy do when trying to make decsisions.

Anyone have any tips for deciding on China?!

Weekend Recap

I apologize for the 5 day hiatus.  My weekend was packed full and I was so busy enjoying time with my family I didn't even capture it well with any pictures.  Really all that's on my iphone is close to 30 snapshots of this guy:

I swear he could be a dog model

My boys sleeping in

We started off the long weekend with our engagement session on Friday.  The first 5 minutes were a bit awkward but Eric our amazing photographer helps us through the awkwardness and before we knew we were totally comfortable being models - there was a lot of laughing involved throughout the shoot.  I can't wait to see the pictures!

DSG and I with Eric our photographer who is just AWESOME.  Ps this is my hair after the shoot at the beginning it was all pretty with wavy curliness - any trick to making curls last?!

Saturday was spent with the family going over wedding agendas and then a family BBQ - so much fun I forgot to take any pics to documnent it.

Sunday we first met with our family friend, Karen, who will be the one marrying us :)  Yet another person involved in our wedding that is AWESOME.  Since she doesn't know Dave she spent some time getting to know him and his family.  We'll be seeing her throughout the summer as well so I love how she'll really be taking to time to get to know us as a couple.  I think the ceremony will be so special with her.

We continued on to a Wedding at Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge where this guy greeted us at check-in:

New favorite hotel - yep!

This was the first wedding of all of our friends and it was so special to be able to celebrate with them.  I couldn't get over how happy they looked walking back down the aisle.  Although I was a bit of a detail freak - pointing out every little thing I liked to Dave, we were able to take a step back and really get excited that our wedding in just around the corner!

Wedding celebrations!

Finally Monday we heading back to Bedford Hills and celebrated DSG's step-dad BDay - again so much family fun I have no pics.  I will get better I promise.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

Just an insight to a few small things that instantly cheer me up -

Cappuccino while getting my hair done

So ready for a nice 4 day wedding filled weekend - DSG and I are heading up to my parents house for  wedding planning pow-wows, our engagment photo shoot and our friends' wedding on Sunday :)

Happy Memorial Day!

C Wonder

Last night I grabbed dinner with a good friend at Spring Street Natural - the perfect choice seeing as we are both vegetarian, it was delish - however not the point of this post.  After dinner we stopped by C Wonder and we both turned into kids in a candy store.  They have everything in every color and you know my goal is to add more color to my wardrobe and our apt.  I also saw several items that would be amazing gifts for any occasion.

Do yourself a favor and stop by, you will not leave empty handed.

Obsession of the Day

This morning was kinda like a mini Christmas morning.  I finally received my package from my recent online shopping spree and literally woke up and ran downstairs in my pjs to get it from the doorman.  Thanks to one of my friends who sent me a friends and family 25% off deal, I got some great items for a very reasonable price!  My new obsession - this Splendid polka dot tee from Piperlime.

Please excuse the crappy iphone pic - I promise to begin taking better photos!

I have so many outfit ideas in mind!  It could really work for anything - work outfit, date night, weekend brunch you name it.

13.1 DONE

I did it!

Halfway to one of my new year’s resolutions of completing 2 half marathons in less than 2 hours:)  Saturday morning I ran in the Brooklyn half - weather was amazing, it started at 7am so it wasn't really hot until we finished around 9.  My official time - 1:50:10 including a quick bathroom break so I'm guessing actual time was right around 1:48/49 which I'm super happy with! Ready for the next one!

Words to live by

Found this via Julia on her Pinterest and love it - you can never smile too much...or wear to much sparkle... you can drink too much champagne but at least you're enjoying celebrations :)

I'll be running in the Brooklyn half marathon tomorrow so unfortunately no champagne for me tonight - wish me luck!

Happy Weekend!

Maxi Dress

I've never been a huge fan of these floor length dresses mainly because I'm 5' and they are always too long on me and make me look even shorter.  However, on my walk to work I passed the construction site for the new Tommy Bahamas store near Grand Central and plastered to one of the wall was this image:

That I could do - I'm thinking it might be the ideal honeymoon dress.  I found it online though and I think the shape looks completely different, may need to go and try on in store but I'm hoping I fall for it, match with a perfect hat or sunnies and some strappy sandals = honeymoon ready.

Baby's here!

Welcome to the world
Natasha Tao Rajenran

DSG and I headed out to Westchester yesterday and along with the rest of his family we welcomed this precious, perfect little girl into the world.  I already cannot wait to see her again - really could that face get any cuter!  Parents and baby are the picture perfect family and I'm so excited for them :)

Michael Graydon

I pinned this picture a few weeks ago and recently decided to find out a bit more about the photographer, Michael Graydon.

Turns out he is a genius.  Not just with his photography but the spaces he photographs are amazing.

Cozy Living Room / My ideal kitchen - subway tile, skylight, fire place, all white.  I die.  The big fluffy dog just makes it that much better.

I spot mint cookware / One of my favorites - can I please be there now

I could have coffee every morning on this porch / barn, lighting, amazing..

I could continue posting so many more...check him out so worth it

What to wear?

DSG and I are taking our engagement photos in 2 weeks which has me scrambling over what to wear.  Of course I'm using this as an excuse to buy some new things that I've been eyeing.  We're planning to do a relax look on the beach in the morning and then a more formal look in the afternoon.

I'm loving this look from Liz but also thinking a more relaxed look for the beach would be great as well, something along these lines:

Since we'll be on the beach I will probably end up going barefoot.

For the more formal look I picked up this dress a few weeks ago and have yet to wear it:

I love the color and think it would be perfect for our second shot.

Decisions, decisions...

Wedding Reveal

All my life my family has been my Mom, Dad and my sis - and I love it, but come October I will officially be a part of DSG's larger than large family, I'm talking 20 people at Sunday dinner large and I love that too!  One things for sure I'll have no shortage of ring bearers and flowers girls at the wedding!  As long as naps are taken and maybe a bit of bribery to walk down the aisle is involved, I'll have a total of 4 - 1 flower girl, 2 ring bearer and 1 TBD as DSG's step-sis is due any day!  Jada is the oldest and the pro of all flower girls; she totally has a style of her own and has already decided how she will be doing her hair, which I love.  Seeing as she growing every second we'll be waiting til the end of summer to get her dress but I’ve still found some looks that I love:

As for the boys, I have my heart dead set on this look:

The spikey hair kills me

And there's still a part of me that hopes to be able to get this guy involed:

I think he could totally pull this off:

Weekend Recap

Began the celebrations for my BDay week this weekend.  DSG surprised me with Broadway tickets, while my heart was set on seeing the Lion King, he of course had other plans, so we ended up checking out Spiderman.

It was entertaining and the special effects were awesome, but they really did turn it into a musical and the songs were not too catchy.  Overall it was a fun little afternoon spent with DSG but next time I'm standing my ground on going to see the Lion King.

I have a busy week ahead of me including lots of wedding to-dos, pretty excited Wedding Week on The Everygirl is this week!

Mini Shopping Spree

Yesterday was one of those crazy days where online shopping was needed for a little zen moment.  I picked up a pair of these beauties (MINT!):

and this lovely little number, which I have a special event in mind for;)

Renata Lace Cocktail Dress

I still have a few other items in mind that I feel would make my spring wardrobe complete...which I'll share next week.

Have a good weekend!
